Becky Howlett was the full time carer for her terminally ill mother from the age of 10-24 During this time worked as an advocate for the carers association and on the national family carers voice. In 2007 Becky was nearly assaulted while walking to work one morning, this subsiquiently lead to Becky's diagnosis of PTSD and related tachycardia. By 2009 Becky was getting physically very sick and was misdiagnised with fibromyalgia for 7 years, after a correct diagnosis, Becky has begun rebuilding her life and starting her own community education business on the topic of Money. Becky continues to advocate as best she can for carers and those with a disability, follow along and listen to Becky as she discusses her life story and over coming life's adversity. Edit* Carers work with Senator Vanstone was in 2001-2002, the carers payment increased in aproximately 2005 (my nerves and memory did not serve me well- apologies)
